Product Overview:
The COD sensor is based on the principle of ultraviolet absorption method. The instrument is small in size and easy to install. It does not require reagents, is pollution-free, economical and environmentally friendly. It can monitor water quality online for a long time. It automatically compensates for turbidity interference and has an automatic cleaning device. It has excellent stability even for long-term monitoring.
Measurement principle:
Many organic substances dissolved in water absorb ultraviolet light. Therefore, by measuring the absorption of these organic substances to ultraviolet light with a wavelength of 254nm, the total amount of organic pollutants in the water can be measured. The sensor uses two light sources, one for 254nm ultraviolet light and one for turbidity compensation, which can automatically eliminate the interference of suspended matter in the water, thereby achieving more stable and reliable measurement.
Application:
Water body monitoring:
COD sensors can be used to monitor water bodies such as rivers and lakes to help assess the degree of water pollution and the effectiveness of water treatment. By real-time monitoring of the COD content in water bodies, environmental protection agencies can know the water quality in a timely manner and formulate corresponding protection measures.
Wastewater treatment:
In water treatment plants and sewage treatment plants, COD sensors are widely used to monitor the concentration of organic matter in wastewater. By real-time monitoring of COD values, the treatment process can be adjusted in time to ensure that the wastewater treatment effect meets environmental protection standards.
Pharmaceutical quality control:
In the pharmaceutical process, COD sensors can be used to monitor the concentration of organic matter and chemical oxygen demand in pharmaceuticals. This helps control the quality of pharmaceuticals and contamination issues during production.
